Tackling the tricks to layering pieces from your closet? Get out of here. Trying to nail the tricks to nailing the classic trifle cake? Get in our bellies! Trifle cakes are so simple yet look so elegant that they will trick ALL your guests. Below is the beginner’s guide (ingredients and directions) as well as TWO additional recipes to make a truly unique treat.

To start:
1. Pre-purchased angel food cake or kind required by recipe.
2. Pick fruity or sweet, or combo of both (chocolate mint brownie, nutella and cherry, banana pudding).
3. Make or buy your own whipped topping.

Basically, you take your three core ingredients (cake, whip, toppers) and layer them starting with the moist cake, which will consume all the delicious flavors of whatever tops it. Depending on the size of your trifle dish, you will layer your trifle trifecta two or three times.
