Being the youngest in the family has a lot of perks, but it’s not always sunshine and rainbows.
- Do you have an older brother or brothers? Then we’re pretty sure you know all about armlock, choke hold, sleeper hold and more. And, yes, you also know how these feel like.
- But you’re older sister has a different plan for you. She either makes you sing or dance in front of the family, especially when there are family events.
- You were always picked last when your siblings play with your cousins or neighbors. Yet you’re also always the first one out of the game.
- But of course, you also get some firsts. You always get to try things first, especially if it requires small spaces or slightly dangerous stunts and games. But you’d feel rewarded at the end especially when you come out well and alive.
- So, yes, you were never safe from all your older siblings. But the best part is when you do or did something wrong; your parents doesn’t bother scolding you, the baby.
- Still, when you think of it, your older siblings always seem to be your third parents. They always try to control you or are always controlling no matter what.
- When you were just a kid, you always had to do what your older siblings do because your parents can’t drive to two different activities all at once.
- You’re always referred to as so-and-so’s sister’s or brother and never by your face name. This can be irritating at first but you get the hang of it later.
- You don’t have any power or command over the remote. And if you try to fight for it, it’s either you cry right after or you have to memorize number one in your head for the nth time.
- When it comes to photos, you were never alone on your baby pictures. It’s always with someone, either your siblings or your cousins.
- Your older sister will always make sure that you get a makeover. That’s regardless if you’re a boy or a girl and, of course, expect a throwback photo of it soon!
- You never really had your own toy, books and the likes. But the upside is, what’s theirs is also yours. So when you turn 16, you also get to share their car, and that’s a great perk!
- You get the best intel to survive high school because their baby should always be prepared. Sometimes, they even find time to get you acquainted by letting you hang with their cool and older friends.
- Your parents are more chill with you because they’ve already experienced a lot with your older siblings. And, of course, you also get to learn from their mistakes, so your parents trust you more.
- After all you’ve been through; you develop a thick skin. But that’s great because no one can easily mess with you.
